About the Boat

Well equipped Tayana 37, double ender designed by Bob Perry. Extensively updated. Cutter rigged. Genoa and staysail on furler. Lazy jacks on main. All lines lead aft to cockpit. RADAR, AIS (Class B transponder), Navionics hydraulic autopilot, Fleming windvane, SSB. Perkins 4-108. Tigres electric windlass, 315 feet of chain, 180 ft of nylon rode. Spade 55 pound anchor on bow, Fortress F16 on stern. Dodger, Bimini. Interior in excellent shape, all teak interior refinished. Newport Diesel Heater puts out 17,000 BTUs. This is a heavy double ender, of classic proportions. No bow thruster, so it requires experienced skipper to get in/out of slip. Excellent in ocean and big swells, but surprisingly fast in light airs. (will sail at 4 knots in 8 knots of beam wind).
